Netflix showed a stable performance in weekly revenue, peaking at around $268 in the week of October 24. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, with a notable increase in the last week of December, reaching approximately 4.2K. Active users saw a gradual increase from 116K at the start of the quarter to a peak of 124.6K in the final week.
DStv Stream experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads in the week of November 21, reaching around 15.5K. This spike was reflected in the active users, which peaked at approximately 44K during the same week. However, the following weeks saw a decline, ending the quarter with around 33.4K active users.
StarTimes ON noted a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting modestly at $1 and peaking at $23 in the week of December 19. Downloads spiked in late November, reaching about 8.6K, while active users peaked at approximately 9K in the same period before dipping to around 4K by the end of the quarter.
MyDStv Africa had a notable increase in downloads in the week of November 21, with approximately 3.9K downloads. Active users also peaked that week, reaching around 12.2K, before experiencing a decline, closing the quarter at about 9K.
Showmax saw a peak in downloads at around 4K in the week of November 21. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 8.5K in the same week, before slightly declining to around 5.3K by the end of December.
